As they served as auxilliaries to the Ordnungspolizei in the occupied areas of the Soviet Union, they often supported of the SD Einsatzkommando's nefarious cleansing operations.

The duties of the Lithuanian units was mainly rear-area security and anti-partisan operations, with occasional frontline service.
